Berwyn is located just 8 miles west of Chicago’s loop and has convenient access to the Eisenhower (I-290) and the Stevenson (I-55) expressways. Public transportation is also available via the CTA’s blue line or the Metra BNSF line.

Berwyn also has many parks. Two park districts and a recreation department maintain the city’s recreational facilities and organize leagues and programming for youth, adults, and seniors.
The city’s largest park is Proksa Park, which comprises approximately 15 acres of land. It contains numerous flower beds, 64 species of trees, 85 species of shrubs, as well as a small pond and stream.
Recreational facilities at the park include three tennis courts, two softball fields, and a large playground.
